Greensboro, NC -- Royal Baby watch is on every network, magazine and every internet site in some form or fashion it seems.
And with fashion in mind, Piedmont Parent Magazine tackles "Finding Your Style After-Baby" in the month's issue.
Eleanor-Scott Davis is a Piedmont Parent Magazine editor and pregnant herself. She offered a few realistic ideas for every soon to be Mom. Most of us don't have the closet of the Duchess, so we have to pick and choose what to invest in. "The first few months are a whirlwind. You're not ready to be back in your skinny jeans, some maternity clothes may still work, but you'll be showing off baby and you'll want to feel good about you too."
Between spit ups, round the clock feedings, Davis said loungewear is key for new moms. But it doesn't have to be the old sloppy sweats. "Invest in a few pieces that you're comfortable in and you feel good in."
When it comes to transitioning back to the workforce, Davis said, make it simple. Tanks under shirts for extra coverage and black pants can pull a look together.
Davis' main point: no pressure. The article in this month's Piedmont Parent even says some new moms have taken pictures with their phones (since they have them out already taking pics of the new baby) of their go-to outfits. That way, when they're bone tired, they don't even have to think about what to put on to feel good and see guests.
